We don’t want anyone to do life alone! Here at Covenant we like to say we’re “doing life together.” We believe that we are “better together” because we each have the opportunity to learn and grow as we influence each other’s lives. Joining a group is a great next step to living life in community and building lasting friendships.
WHAT IS A GROWTH GROUP?
A Growth Group is a home fellowship made up of 4 - 12 people who meet weekly to share, study and support one another. A leader and host lead each group. An average meeting lasts for an hour and a half, followed by light refreshments.
HOW IMPORTANT ARE GROWTH GROUPS ?
Here at Covenant, Growth Groups are the hub of our ministry. They're the place where the ministry of the church takes place as we study God's Word, while supporting and sharing our lives with one another. We believe that meeting together on a regular basis is time well spent. Our goal each year is to have 80% of our adults involved on a weekly basis.
WHEN AND WHERE DO THEY MEET?
Growth Groups (G2) meet on various nights of the week in homes throughout The Dalles and beyond. Most evening groups meet 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
Groups meet mid-September through mid-June
Summer - Shared Interest groups run for six weeks, beginning the second week of July
Here at Covenant, we've found that when we connect with one another around God's Word, our personal growth is inevitable. That's why Growth Groups are the hub of our ministry. You'll find dedicated Growth Group Leaders who have made a commitment to create a safe and friendly environment so that you can connect with others and grow. We've included a Frequently Asked Questions section or FAQ so you can get a better idea of what these groups are all about. We'd love to help you connect with your new group! So, whether you're looking for a new group to join for the first time or you're a returning veteran, sit back, look at our Group information and know that God wants to work in your life by connecting you with others.
If you'd like more information, please contact the church office: 541-298-5551 and ask for our Pastor of small groups Brett Hartley. He will be happy to answer any questions you may have, or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
