Happy Father's Day! Today what we need the most is men, Fathers who can mentor their kids and give them a model of how Jesus told us to be as the head of our families. Ninety percent of all inmates are men, and seventy-five to ninety percent grew up without a Father in the home. Our society places no importance on Fathers as the head of households. No matter how your earthly Father was, or is. There is a perfect Heavenly Father who loves you and wants to be part of your life!
In the book of Malachi 4:5-6 NKJV says, Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. 6 And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
There are four characteristics of our perfect heavenly Father. First, He has a long fuse. Psalm 103:8 NLT.
The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
Second, He has a short memory. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
Third, He has a thick skin. Psalm 103:10. he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
Fourth, He has a big heart. Psalm 103:11-12. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
