Today's message is Praying in Community. What happens when God's people pray together. 5 things: 1. We invite revival Acts 2.The Church was bathed in a cooperate prayer meeting! 2. We overcome persecution Acts 4:24-31. The Church's response to the threats to Peter and John was a prayer meeting. 3. We avert Tragedy. Acts 12:12-17. Peter's life was saved as direct result of a praying Church. 4. We receive direction and power for ministry Acts 13:1-3. After a time of corporate prayer and fasting, Paul and Barnabas were commissioned for their first missionary journey. 5. We build up and edify the Church I Corinthians 14:16-17. In a corporate meeting atmosphere, prayers don’t just reach God, they edify the Church!
