Keeping the Light Burining. The ten bridesmaids represent all who are waiting for Jesus to return. The Oil represents our constant, devotion or Worship that feeds the light before the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark represents the holy and unapproachable presence, while the light reveals the life-sustaining, life-giving presence of God. This pure oil was pressed and this oil came from the first pressing. Is the oil that I give to the Lord the purest? God wants to use your life in the most incredible way, but are you willing to allow the Lord to press you when you don't see the results you want? The reality is – you can have all the outward expression you want as a Christian, but outward expression is not the same as inward, heart posture for Jesus.
