The sermon encourages believers to be honest about disappointment and to trust that Jesus meets us in our questions and confusion, just as He asked the travelers, “What things?” and invited them to process their pain aloud. Through Scripture, Jesus realigns our expectations and opens our eyes, just as He “explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.” We are challenged to slow down, invite Him in, and recognize that He often reveals Himself in relationship, not just information. Ultimately, the message asks us to consider whether Jesus has been walking with us all along, even in places we never expected Him to be.
